The Achievers Foundation for English Studies (TAFFES) has established an award recognizing Young Researcher below the age of 40 years who has published his/her paper in The Achievers Journal and made outstanding contribution in the area of English Language, Literature and Culture.

Award

The recipient will receive an award along with a certificate.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must be below the age of 40 as of 31 December 2022.

The research paper submitted must be completed within last 3 years.

The paper must be accepted and published in the year 2022- 2023.

Applicant may submit maximum 2 papers published in The Achievers Journal: Journal of English Language, Literature and Culture.

Application must include the full paper(s) as .pdf attachment(s).

Self-nomination/collaborative research is allowed but the applicant must be a lead researcher/key contributor towards the body of research.

Nomination Process

Nominations may be made by any individual and should include:

i. A passport size photograph.

ii. A short biographical statement (no more than one pages) including: Name; Date of birth; Present affiliation; Current mailing address; Current phone, fax and email; Advance professional degrees (including institutions and dates).

iii. A short list of *most notable* publications.

Please submit all required nomination information by October 31, 2023 at taffes.yra@gmail.com

Review Process

Nominations will be evaluated with the final selection made by the TAFFES Council.  The recipient will be notified in December 2023.

By participating in this Award, all applicants shall be deemed to agree to abide by and be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any decisions made by the organizing committee, subcommittee and judging panel concerning this Award.

The decision of the organizing committee, subcommittee and judging panel on all matters relating to the Award shall be final, binding and conclusive on all applicants, including without limitation, any decision on the eligibility of any person or cancellation or suspension of the Award.

The deliberations of the judging panel are confidential. All recommendations and decisions taken are binding and final and no correspondence will be entered into.

In the event where that applications do not meet the winning criteria for the award, TAFFES reserves the right not to award a prize. The judges reserve the right not to award the prize if, in their view, the quality of entries is insufficiently meritorious.

TAFFES reserves the rights to utilise the applicants’ works, photos and contact details for promotional purposes.

Information provided by participant(s) in relation to the TAFFES Young Researcher Award may be used by TAFFES for promotional/publicity purposes. This may include, and is not restricted to, the information being used on websites, social media, printed material, advertisements, press releases etc. Participant(s) may also be asked to be involved in additional promotional activities.
